The Honor in Legacy scholarship fund was established to work with families wishing to participate in the unique educational environment provided at Root Academy.

One of the core missions at Root is to include children who struggle in other school environments, particularly kids with autism, ADHD, and kids who have experienced trauma. Alongside a Montessori approach, Root Academy focuses on martial arts and language, which aid in providing a balanced, accessible, and compelling education.

Through the fund, doors will be opened to those who would not otherwise be able to consider a private school education due to the financial burden. The purpose of the program is to:

  • Reduce the financial barriers of attending private school.
  • Promote diversity in the school.
  • Reinforce an environment (particularly a low student:teacher ratio) supportive to kids with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Support families who have expressed interest in the Montessori, martial arts, and language approach to education.

One parent shared the following about Root Academy: “We have seen huge developmental leaps in both kids since enrolling them and I can't thank Root Academy enough. The staff seeks to truly understand each child and tailor their teaching methods and style to work with the kids' strengths. We also place a high value on an inclusive and diverse environment for our kids and have been very pleased with the way that Root Academy incorporates this into their curriculum. Our kids are learning about different cultures, religions and nationalities in a very relevant and age appropriate way.”
